Standard Bots, a U.S.-based designer and manufacturer of advanced industrial robotics, has opened a newly expanded 16,000-square-foot production facility in Glen Cove, New York. The new site doubles the company’s previous footprintand marks a strategic scale-up of its U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities.

“This new facility marks a pivotal moment for Standard Bots as we scale to meet growing demand for American-made robotics,” said Evan Beard, Co-Founder & CEO of Standard Bots. “We’re thrilled to debut both our expanded factory and our latest innovations.”

Coinciding with the facility expansion is the launch of Standard Bots’ latest robotic system: a 30kg payload, 2-meter reach industrial robot powered by the company’s proprietary physical AI platform and designed for high-mix, high-throughput automation.

Standard Bots expands U.S. factory and debuts a 30kg AI-powered robot using NVIDIA Isaac, strengthening its position in scalable American robot manufacturing.

The new robot is the first in Standard Bots’ expanded line of intelligent automation systems, built on its proprietary physical AI platform and powered by the NVIDIA Isaac architecture. This platform allows users to teach robots tasks through direct physical demonstration rather than traditional coding. The resulting training data can then be augmented and optimized within NVIDIA Isaac Sim, part of the NVIDIA Omniverse platform, enabling the rapid iteration and deployment of robotic applications across real-world industrial settings.

Having completed extensive private beta testing, the full platform is slated for wider release in 2025. The system is engineered to address tasks that have historically been too complex, cost-prohibitive, or inflexible for conventional automation approaches.

The new robot model combines collaborative-class features—such as an intuitive programming interface, compact footprint, and advanced safety—with a robust structural design that supports heavy-duty tooling and large workpieces. It is ideally suited for use in automotive, aerospace, logistics, and other demanding production environments. By manufacturing in the United States and pricing competitively, Standard Bots is positioning itself as a cost-effective alternative to foreign-made systems while also supporting the broader reshoring of industrial automation.

“Robotics has been the unlock for the repatriation of manufacturing, but the potential has been hindered by two major barriers: cost and flexibility,” said Quentin Clark, Managing Director of General Catalyst. “We look forward to supporting Standard Bots and seeing how their technology will open up new possibilities for robotics across American manufacturing.”
