At the core of the collaboration is the application of artificial intelligence in physical environments, where adaptability and decision-making are critical. The approach links operational data from deployed systems with ongoing AI model development, supporting more flexible and capable robotic solutions.

Noted Zhaopeng Chen, Agile Robots CEO and Founder, “Agile Robots has already installed over 20,000 robotics solutions worldwide, proving intelligent automation at scale. The huge opportunity ahead lies in autonomous, intelligent production systems that can transform entire industries. Integrating Google DeepMind’s Gemini Robotics models into our robotic solutions positions us at the cutting edge of this rapidly growing market.”

Added Carolina Parada, Senior Director and Head of Robotics, Google DeepMind, “We are excited to partner with Agile Robots as we develop more advanced AI models for the next generation of robots and to scale their impact across sectors. This research partnership is an important step in bringing the impact of AI to the real world.”

Initial efforts will focus on high-value industrial use cases where demand for adaptable and reliable automation continues to grow. These include manufacturing and industrial environments where scalability, consistency, and system performance are essential.

The collaboration also introduces a continuous improvement cycle in which real-world operational data is used to refine AI models, and updated models enhance robotic capabilities. This iterative process is intended to expand deployment opportunities while improving overall system performance.
